Unfortunately Fox lost a fight to a bad colic in the first week of March '09. He was sound and spunky until the last day. Our family, his real mom Lisa, and the DSS horses (to whom he taught many life lessons) will miss him dearly.
Fox Trot is a 1977 chestnut TB gelding standing 15 hands. He is a great teacher and patient horse allowing beginners to gain confidence. Foxy had a great show career with his owner, Lisa Ritzen-Sonntag , making it all the way to the Maclay classes. Fox spent his after-show life giving lessons to Lisa's students at Brigadoon Equestrian Center where he taught young riders about horse care and how to ride. Fox is now living out his days at Dark Star Stables, happily eating grass, keeping his buddies company, and giving the occasional pony ride.
