Litho is a 2005 Hanoverian gelding that was bred by Mo Swanson at Rolling Stone Farm. He currently stands 16.2 hands+. LJ is the perfect mix of his parents, he has inherited Loerke's sweeping movement, looks, and free shoulder while displaying Rhwanda's smart, curious personality, and rideability. This year LJ is competing over fences at 2'6'' and will move up to 3' at his last few shows. This boy is going to go a long way! He's jumped across paddocks to see his foal neighbors without a scratch. LJ is a pleasure to ride; comfortable, steady, and soft. I have jumped him up to 3'9'' and he definitely didn't have to try very hard. He shows incredible jumping ability, just like his dam and sire. Natural lead changes at 2 and starting to get the hang of them under saddle. LJ is the perfect horse for the professional divisions or jr/am in the hunter OR jumper ring. EASY EASY EASY! 10/11/09 Patty Miller Stables: LJ showed 3' for the first time and marched around like a pro. And look at the jump! It just keeps getting better!
9/20/09 Stepping Stone Farm Horse Show: 2'6'' was getting rather boring for LJ so we decided to school the 3' course and he did fabulously! Look for LJ in the 3' divisions from now on!
8/14/09 EPPHA Double Points Show: 8th o/f and 8th hack out of 18 Baby Green horses and ponies. LJ also jumped his first course of jumper jumps ever in the Buy Me class and was 5th out of 15 without doing lead changes! Videos available!
8/9/09 Fox Heath Horse Show: 4th o/f and 4th hack in 2'6'' Schooling Hunters.
LJ has been to a handful of o/f shows showing 2'6'' and marching around like a pro. He fooled several bystanders as to his experience!
5/28/09 Devon Horse Show: LJ was a gem for his grandmother in the Amateur Handler class and hacked around with 23 Young Hunters like he'd been doing it forever. No spooks or bad behavior!
5/17/09 Mile View Farm: 1st in both Young Hunter classes, under both judges, with 3 in the class. Both judges commented on his wonderful personality and beautiful suspension at the trot.
5/3/09 Mile View Farm: The best hack we've had! Only 2 in the class, so of course he got good ribbons! :-)
4/12/09 Mile View Farm: 3rd Young Working Hunter, 4th Young Hunter
8/30/08 Warrenton Horse Show: 6th Non-TB, 6th Am. Handler, 8th Sallie B. Wheeler
6/29/08 Brigadoon Horse Show: LJ was 3rd in a Baby Green hack and jumped around the schooling break like an old pro!
6/7/08 June Fete Horse Show: LJ was 5th in a very large Baby Green hack with no warm-up. Open fields aren't good for schooling a 3 yr old! :-)
5/29/08 Devon Horse Show: 2nd PA Bred, 5th Non-TB with a super-star line-up!
LJ was also the Reserve Champion for the Mile View Spring Show Circuit sponsored by KT Saddlery!
5/25/08 Mile View Farm (two judge system): 1st PA Bred, 1st & 2nd Non-TB, Reserve Best PA Bred and Young Horse. LJ also competed in his first Young Htr. u/s class and despite having a difficult time picking up the right-side lead he was 4th & 5th out of 6!
5/11/08 Mile View Farm (two judge system): 1st & 3rd PA Bred, 1st & 2nd Non-TB, Reserve Best PA Bred
5/4/08 Kimberton Hunt: 1st in both 3 yr old classes, Best PA Bred and Young Horse
